## About Grass

Grass is a decentralized network of millions of people earning rewards for sharing unused internet bandwidth. Verified institutions use that bandwidth to support online services and AI data access, while contributors earn Grass Points, which factor into Grass Token rewards. Grass does not access your private information, browsing history, or files, and does not sell personal data. The Grass app is available on desktop (app and browser extension) and mobile (Android). The user dashboard and registration live at https://app.grass.io. Token distributions and governance are run by the Grass Foundation at https://www.grassfoundation.io.

### What Grass is
- A decentralized residential bandwidth network. Members install the Grass app or browser extension and share unused internet bandwidth in the background.
- A rewards program. Contribution is measured in Grass Points (Uptime Points and Network Points), which factor into Grass Token rewards.
- A privacy-first product. Grass routes third-party web requests through shared bandwidth without exposing the contributor's personal data or browsing activity to Grass or third parties.

### What Grass is not
- Not a traditional "get paid to" or survey app — the app gives you no tasks, surveys, or ads, and never accesses your personal data or browsing activity.
- Not a VPN or proxy you operate yourself — Grass manages the network and demand side.
